“Andreas Ottensamer melts with his clarinet … he is an ‘übersolist’ and a phenomenon ... In his natural musicality Ottensamer turned out to be an ideal partner for chief conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin.” - NRC Handelsblad
Last night clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer played a stunning set at Yellow Lounge Berlin in Club Gretchen.
Accompanied by pianist José Gallardo and cellist Stefan Koncz, he performed a selection of works from his forthcoming debut album, Portraits - The Clarinet Album including Gershwin’s Prelude No. 1, Debussy’s La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin and a movement from Cimarosa’s Concerto for Oboe arranged for Clarinet by Arthur Benjamin.
Portraits - The Clarinet Album is released internationally on 3rd June 2013 and features the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
