Great news for Miloš, only one week after it’s release, Aranjuez has gone straight into the #1 spot in the UK classical charts and went straight in the top 15 of the Amazon general charts! Continuing with this success, Aranjuez has received excellent reviews in the specialist press, Gramophone writes:
“The Montenegro-born classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić is in many ways the ideal interpreter of Rodrigo’s brand of Spanish musical nationalism … his playing is the epitome of passion tempered by elegance. And what is Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez if not flamenco passion tempered by classical elegance? … This is a thoughtful and, I think, durable interpretation that will stand the test of time.” [William Yeoman]
In other European news, Aranjuez has made it to #1 in the classical iTunes charts in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain and the UK. Miloš has also made it to No.1 in the Classical Charts in Denmark and France, No. 2 in Belgium as well as #1 on all three Deezer Serbia charts (Album, Tracks and Artist) topping strong local pop repertoire. Succeeding in several European Pop charts, Aranjuez has made it to No. 17 in Denmark, No. 53 in Italy and No. 54 in the Belgium Pop Chart! Portugal’s SIC TV filmed this great feature of Miloš talking about the album in Chinchon which can be viewed here and you can listen to Miloš’ interview and live performance on Spain’s National Public Radio, RTVE here!
Across the rest of the globe Aranjuez has made it to #1 in the New Zealand Classical Chart, #1 in the iTunes classical charts and a #38 in the general iTunes charts in Mexico and is Album of the Week for Australia’s ABC Radio!
